We have modern and efficient heat pump tumble dryers in many of our properties. To get the best results checkout the video above for an explanation of how to use the tumble dryer safely.
Before EVERY use you MUST clean the filter of fluff. If you don’t then it won’t dry your clothes properly and perhaps more importantly it can cause a fire!
To dry your clothes safely follow this procedure:
- Clean the door filter of fluff before EVERY use
- Once a week, check the bottom filter and clear out any fluff
- Put your clothes in but don’t overload the machine; it won’t dry properly if the drum is packed full and it will damage the machine if more than 9kg is put in. Generally a normal basket of clothes is fine.
- NEVER put anything in the dryer that contains foam rubber (like soft toys, trainers, etc). These absorb the heat and can damage the machine and cause fires.
- Select your mode using the dial at the top. For bedding or towels we recommend the Bedding mode, for everything else we recommend the Eco mode. This will give you the best drying results.
- Turn on the machine then press the start button.
- The timer will count down until your clothes are dry. It has sensors in the machine to detect when the load is dry so often takes less time than is shown at the start.
When you take yout clothes out they will be warm and may not feel 100% dry. Don’t worry, heat pump machines produce what’s called “cupboard dry” clothes so just hang them up as normal and they will feel properly dry as they cool down.
